The new headquarters of the marketing agency Brain One in Prague's Bubenč has a distinctive character and the atmosphere of a neo-classical villa. The existing historical elements have not been masked; on the contrary, they are placed in direct opposition to contemporary interventions, thus creating a creative environment together. The ubiquitous geometry, where the shape of a regular hexagon permeates the entire villa, is enhanced by the introduction of a new, even more pronounced geometry of the designed tables and lighting.
The goal was to bring the life of a young and dynamic agency, which perceives business as a race and primarily wants to enjoy work, into the traditional and historical interior. Most of the new elements in the interior stem from the Brain One logo and their corporate colors. The community and teamwork of the Brains are reflected in the use of large communal tables instead of several individual small tables for each member. A large work table dominates each of the offices, and its shape is always mirrored above the tables in the form of a custom-made suspended light fixture.
The core of the offices is the entrance hall, where the merging of history and contemporary style is most evident – dark massive wooden wall paneling, a crystal chandelier, a molded ceiling, or a fireplace with a bronze bust are complemented by a light plywood podium with colorful cushions, pink sofas, and other small pieces. A large number of diverse lounging and working spaces have been created to bring an element of the extraordinary and variability into the working process.
An important part of the offices is also the spacious garden. The principle of using the garden is the same as in the interior – striking and seemingly random pieces of furniture are scattered throughout the garden, creating again various working and relaxation areas.
