In 1960, he opened his own architectural office in Lugano. From 1976, he was a member of the Swiss Architects Association (BSA) and the Association of German Architects (BDA). From 1970 to 1978, he collaborated on projects with
L. Vacchini, L. Snozzi, R. Tami, and M. Botta. In 1996, he founded the Accademia di Architettura in Mendrisio with Mario Botta, which he led from 1996 to 2001 and served as a professor until 2006.
