Arthur Carl Georg Wienkoop was a German architect, professor, and director of the State School of Construction in Darmstadt. In 1884, he studied at the Technical Universities of Karlsruhe and Braunschweig. In 1907, he became a professor at the State School of Construction in Darmstadt, where he served as director until his retirement in 1930. He was the author of several villas and workers' houses in Hesse. As a representative of the traditional movement, he often debated against the Art Nouveau and later modernist tendencies in 20th-century architecture.
