He earned a bachelor's degree in visual arts and environmental studies from Harvard University and a master's degree in architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. As a visiting professor, he taught at the University of Thessaly and served as an assistant at Berkeley. In 2001, he co-founded DECA architecture in Athens with Carlos Loperena.
